A special thanks to Tumble for sponsoring this post.
Our primary bedroom is one of my favorite rooms in our home. Whenever I walk into the space, I feel a sense of calm--as one should when entering their bedroom. Over the past few months, I've worked to declutter and update things along the way, and one of the pieces that needed updating the most was our rug.
Our old rug was dingy and feeling rough, and the worst was the corners were folding up and became tripping hazards. I can't tell you how many times I tripped over the corners in the middle of the night or that it got stuck under the door. That's when I knew I had to update our bedroom with Tumble.
I took a few days to decide on what rug option I wanted to go with, and ultimately went with one of Tumble's best sellers, the Lisa - Taupe/Multi in the 6'x9'. It is beyond gorgeous in person. It combines light and medium-toned neutrals, ivory, gold, and grays to create the perfect neutral rug. I love the decorative fringe, too.
On install day, I knew this one would be a little trickier because our bed frame is so heavy, and moving it is not an option. Thankfully, I was able to slip the first two rows of puzzle-like cushions under the footboard and then attach the rest of the rug pad together once the mattresses were off. I slipped the rug right under the footboard by lifting it ever-so-slightly. Since Tumble rugs themselves are slightly thinner than traditional rugs with the padding attached, it made it easier to move and adjust to fix it in place on the 1/4" rug pad. The rug pad is so comfortable. It's honestly like stepping onto a cloud when walking into our room or when getting out of bed.
One thing I have noticed consistently as we've put Tumble rugs throughout our home is how it has felt cleaner and is so much easier to clean. With two boys and a kitty cat, this is a game-changer. The spills are endless no matter where in our home, so I'm thankful to know that stains and spills will wipe right up from the spill-proof surface. For those tougher stains, a little spray of stain remover takes it right out. When the rugs need a super clean, they are machine washable and can be dried on low.
Not only will stains and spills bead up on the surface, but I no longer have to worry about tripping over the rug corners, because Tumble rugs have a corner pocket that tucks right into the rug pad and has optional silicone grippers to help keep it in place.
Tumble has completely transformed my home, and I know it will transform yours, too!
