Our primary bedroom has quickly become my favorite space in our home. It's so calming and peaceful and the natural light that shines through the back windows on a sunny day is heavenly. I wanted to round up some of the newest decor pieces I've added over the last couple of months that have helped transform this space.
Up first are my gorgeous new custom 4-layer blackout curtains. Living in a townhome, we're constantly surrounded by people, but these curtains help us feel like we live in a single-family home in the middle of nowhere...the dream, am I right? Okay, here's why. It has four layers to make them 100% blackout, thermal insulating, soundproofing, and anti-dust. Honestly, what more could you want in a gorgeous curtain?!
To make them above other curtains, these are completely customizable. You can choose your preferred header type (I prefer the back tab!), the back lining color, and the length and width. They are also machine washable, and I just took my steamer to them to steam out the major wrinkles due to shipping. I love how the Ivory White color option looks in our bedroom!
You might recognize the posters (poster 1 | poster 2) & oak frames on our nightstands. I first shared them in this space when I first started embracing cozy neutrals and decluttering and restyling my home. I am still so happy with my posters and frames. So much so, that I added a similar style and a custom poster in our entryway hallway!
When it comes to adding finishing touches to our bedroom, an organic cotton cable knit throw is the perfect addition to cozy up the space. I drape it along the bottom of our bed and it helps break up the smooth duvet with added texture. This throw is so incredibly soft so you could use it for an added touch and cozy option on your bed or couch!
If you saw my blog post from earlier this week, then you saw my gorgeous new Tumble -- Lisa Rug. Obsessed is an understatement when it comes to my Tumble rugs. The Lisa rug combines light and medium-toned neutrals, ivory, gold, and grays to create the perfect neutral rug. I love the decorative fringe, too. It's a fun added touch and the spill-proof feature is a must-have throughout our home now.
After all of these changes and improvements, it's truly helped me learn my home style and what makes a house our home. In the coming weeks, we have a couple more small DIY projects (hint: remember when I swore off wallpaper a couple of weeks ago...stay tuned...) and I have one last furniture upgrade that I'm so excited about!
